  • All TCS iON NPT certifications are valid for 2 years.
  • Candidates can appear for the test only in-centre at TCS iON Authorised Exam Centres.
  • Certification tests are conducted every 2-4 weeks. However, candidates can purchase the same TCS iON NPT variants after 90 days of their last purchase.
  • Candidates have the opportunity to appear for multiple attempts to improve their TCS iON NPT Score on repurchases.

  • TCS iON NPT - English with British Council assesses a candidate’s speaking and writing skills. It is a computer-delivered English language assessment developed by the British Council in collaboration with TCS iON.
  • The test results are reported using the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) level. The candidate will receive a CEFR level for their speaking and writing abilities in their certificate.
  • TCS iON NPT will be conducted every 2-4 weeks. Once you register for TCS iON NPT, the exam date and time will be communicated through an email, 2 days prior to the exam. You can check the TCS iON NPT exam dates on the respective webpage as well.
  • For every TCS iON NPT, applications will close 10-15 days prior to the exam date.
  • 1. Click on the "Buy Now" or "Activate Now" button on the TCS iON NPT - English with British Council webpage.
  • 2. Login with your TCS iON credentials or sign up as a new user.
  • 3. After login/sign up, you will be asked to share your details required to complete your registration process. This includes your name, email ID, phone number and other details.
  • 4. In case of Buy Now: On successful submission of the registration form, you need to proceed to make the payment by clicking on "Click to Pay/Activate Code". The Hall Ticket will be issued only on the successful purchase of the exam.
  • 5. In case of Activate Now: A pop-up window will open. Enter the Licence Code and click on the "Activate" button. You will be asked to share your details required to complete the application form. This includes your name, email ID, phone number and other details. Once the activation code and your details are successfully submitted, click on "Get Started" and you can view the purchased variant in "My Dashboard".
  • 6. You will receive a successful registration message on your registered email ID/mobile number.
  • 7. The assessment will be conducted ONLY In-Centre at TCS iON Authorised Exam Centres. You will receive the Hall Ticket on your email ID, 2 days prior to the assessment.
  • 8. Repeat the process from step 4 for the purchase of every new TCS iON NPT variant.
  • Yes, with TCS iON NPT certificate you can apply to various companies/corporates for 2 years. Candidates who wish to apply to a specific company/corporate need to apply separately on the corresponding company/corporate's job portal. Applications for recruitment will be called for independently by the recruiting company/corporate as per their standard process and eligibility norms. You can also apply to jobs posted on the TCS iON Job Listing Platform. You can update your profile by clicking on “Edit Profile” in “My Dashboard”. TCS iON NPT certified candidates can also apply for companies or jobs that are not listed on the TCS iON Job Listing Platform by adding the certificate to their profile.
  • TCS iON NPT will be conducted in In-Centre mode at TCS iON Authorised Exam Centres PAN India.
  • Note:
    • If there are restrictions due to COVID-19, In-Centre mode of test will be postponed. In such cases, candidates will be notified and given another chance to appear when the next In-Centre test is scheduled.
  • Once you complete your application process, either by making the online payment or by using the Activation Code, you will receive the hall ticket. The hall ticket will be sent to your registered email ID 2 days prior to the exam. In case you do not receive your hall ticket 2 days prior to the exam, you can connect with us through Live Chat for immediate response.
  • You can view the application details on the TCS iON NPT webpage once you log in by clicking on the "View Details" button. You can edit your application for each exam session before the application closure date for the respective session (10-15 days prior to the exam date).
  • No, you do not need to apply again. Login with your TCS iON credentials and go to ‘My Products’ under ‘My Dashboard’. The TCS iON NPT products that you have purchased will be displayed and you can click on ‘View Product details’ and the eform stamp will be displayed. Click on ‘Continue’ and the form will open in Edit mode. You can edit to make the necessary changes and submit.
  • You can also navigate to the individual products pages from ‘My Dashboard’. Click on ‘Edit Application’, to open the application form in Edit mode and make the necessary changes. Click on ‘Submit’ for the changes to reflect.

  • TCS iON will not arrange for any job interviews. You need to apply to the companies yourself. Your TCS iON NPT certificate will be shared only with those companies that you have applied for and when they ask for it.
  • You can view the list of corporates who have acknowledged the TCS iON NPT certificate on the webpage.
  • In addition, you can apply on the TCS iON Job Listing Platform, as this privilege is given only for the candidates who have appeared for TCS iON NPT.
  • Note:
    • Each company’s eligibility/filtering/selection criterion is based on the rules defined by them on the levels of different abilities required for a job and may also have additional eligibility/filtering/selection criteria.
  • Your TCS iON NPT certificate is valid for 2 years from the date of result publishing.
  • There is no limit on the number of attempts. You can purchase the next TCS iON NPT again to improve your TCS iON NPT scores and be eligible to get a certificate.
  • Note:
      • You can purchase the same TCS iON NPT variant only after 90 days of your last purchase.
  • If you are not able to appear or complete the exam due to any reason solely attributable to you on the allotted date and time, no refund will be issued, and no retest will be conducted. You can repurchase and take the next TCS iON NPT, in the next cycle, as and when the dates are announced.
Your exam will be scheduled based on the exam session selected in the application form. You can modify the exam session before the application form closure date. Once the hall ticket/exam details are shared with you on email, it can neither be transferred nor can be used for the next exam session. You need to appear for the exam as per the dates mentioned in the hall ticket or exam details sent on email.
  • Candidates who had indulged in any type of malpractice will not be permitted to take the exam for a period of 1 year and your certificate will be WITHHELD.
  • Corporates/Institutions/Companies who partner with TCS iON can purchase Licence Codes at a discounted price for all TCS iON NPT exams. Candidates will receive the Licence Codes on their registered email ID either from TCS iON or from the partner. They need to click on the "Activate Now" button on the TCS iON NPT variant pages, and complete the application form. On the payment screen, instead of making the payment, click on "Activate Now" and enter the Licence Code. The TCS iON NPT variant will get subscribed and will be displayed in "My Dashboard". If candidates are using a Prepaid Licence Code, they need not make any payment as the partner would have already made the payment to TCS iON.
